Our Spring Sale is planned for Saturday, April 17 from 10am to 4pm, rain or shine!

 Items to be sold:

  • Children's clothing (Spring and Summer only)
  • Toys, books, furniture, bedding & accessories
  • Maternity Clothes (any season)
  • Women's career apparel (Fall and Winter only)


All members of the Mothers’ Center of the South Shore are invited to sell their gently used items at our Spring and Fall Consignment Sales. You will receive 60% of each item sold, with the Center receiving 40%.  All sellers (non-members or not) are asked to donate at least 2 hours of their time to either help setting up for the sale, clean up afterwards or assist during the sale itself.

Consignment Sale Guidelines for sellers:

We are kindly asking all sellers to read and adhere to the following guidelines:

  • All items to be sold must be dropped off at the Center on Friday, April 16 between 10am and 1pm.
  • All clothing should be on a hanger with sets pinned together. We do have extra hangers at the Center.
  • Accessories and loose items should be placed in a clear plastic bag with the index card taped to the outside. Please seal the bag.
  • Shoes, stuffed animals/toys & Men's apparel will not be allowed at the Sale.
  • You must return no later than 4pm on sale day (April 17) to pick up your unsold items. Anything left at the Center after 4pm will be considered a donation.
  • You will receive 60% of each item sold, with the Center receiving 40%. A check for your sold items will be mailed to you within a week after the sale.
  • Each item must be tagged with a 3x5 index card with the information as described below:      

CODE: Located at the top right corner:
Your code will be the first letter of your last name and the last four (4) digits of your phone number.

YEAR / DATE OF SALE: Located at the bottom right corner:
This code marks the time an item is first put up for sale. Please mark your cards with S for spring or F for fall and the corresponding year (ie. S/09 for Spring 2009 or F/09 for Fall 2009). Having this code on the card helps us keeping our inventory up to date.

DONATION : Located at the bottom left corner:
If your item is not sold at the end of sale day, and you would like to donate it to the Center for future sales, please mark your card with a D in the bottom left corner.

IMPORTANT: Please include one 3x5 index card with your contact information including your name, address and phone number!

VOLUNTEERS:

Remember, as a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to shop before the general public!

We are always in need of volunteers. Please sign up via email at southshoremoms@gmail.com if you are available either Friday or Saturday to help us set up, sell or clean up afterwards (husbands are always encouraged to get involved as well). For those great bakers out there, would you be willing to donate any baked goods for our bake sale??
